EXCELLENT SCORES BY DECANTER AND FALSTAFF

It rarely happens that a wine is reviewed with the same score by different wine-magazines. This time, two of our wines have been reviewed with the same scores by two international magazines such as Decanter and Falstaff.

Decanter is a wine and wine-lifestyle magazine, published in about 90 countries on a monthly basis. The magazine includes industry news, vintage guides and wine and spirits recommendations. Falstaff is an Austrian wine and gourmet magazine. It is the oldest and highest circulation wine magazine in Austria and is published today in the entire German-speaking area.

Both magazines judged our Nobile di Montepulciano 2016 with 93 points, while the Nobile Riserva 2015 with 92 points.

Michaela Morris on Decanter reports on the latest releases of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and finds plenty to praise. We are honored to see two wines of our Estate in the top five positions of its special ranking.

Othmar Kiem and Simon Staffler for Falstaff have written a beautiful article on Nobile di Montepulciano entitled "IL NOBILE TOSCANO" published on their website last May 13th. So on top "Vino Nobile Trophy" they report our Vino Nobile 2016 with 93 points and Nobile Reserve 2015 with 92 points.

We are delighted to share these awards with you.

DECANTER - Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2016 (93 points)

This historical 19th century estate has been in the della Seta Ferrari Corbelli family's hands since the mid-1900s and since the new generation took over in 2011, the quality continues to improve. As with the last couple of years, its Vino Nobile is a stand out for the vintage. Somewhat surprisingly, the 2016 demonstrates more power than the 2015 without compromising its signature elegance. There is a brightness and drinkability under its girth and the tannins are finessed. Gorgeous floral and spice notes are laced throughout. Drinking Window 2020 - 2030

DECANTER - Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano RISERVA 2015 (92 points)

While I have a slight preference for the 2016 annata, Gracciano della Seta's 2015 Riserva is a fantastic wine. It hails from two of the estate's four crus and includes fruit from their 50-year-old vines. After spending a year in smaller tonneaux, it spends a further twelve months in large casks. Well-defined aromas of fennel, clove and celery echo on the palate. Polished tannins embrace dense, mouthfilling black currants and plum, finishing with captivating nuances of lavender. Drinking Window 2020 - 2030

FALSTAFF - Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2016 (93 points)

Powerful, elegant ruby with a luminous reflex. Balsamic and fine nose, smoke, wild berries. Juicy and fruity on the palate, opens on tightly woven tannins, slightly salty, compact fine-mesh, harmonious in finish.

FALSTAFF - Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano RISERVA 2015 (92 points)

Bright ruby red. Delicate nose, only softly emits notes of violet. Juicy and slightly salty on the palate, it extends over a crunchy, fruity arch, therefore reverberating lightly.
